My Work Experience at the Body Guide
By priscilla | February 5, 2008
Hi, my name is Priscilla and Ihave been doing the journalism (writing up articles, treatment guides) for the bodyguide website. I have learnt so far much about what you can do to stay healthy including alternative and fun ways of staying fit such as sport based exercise such as Boxing training and entartaining and exhilarating dance-based exercise programs such as can-can lessons! Just today I have also been given food for thought about my own excercise regime at the gym in a provoking and informative article by Alan Gordon which I had to edit, on how to choose a good personal trainer and what makes anm inadequate one. I have also learnt about such key self-help concepts as emotional intelligence which focuses on keeping good social relations and I have also learnt that it is now being taken into consideration in job assesments. I always kind of dismissed self-help concepts before but now I realise they could have serious implacations!

New Treatments
By monah | February 5, 2008
Hi everyone! I’m going to summarize what I have been doing for the The Body Guide for the last days. First of all I’d like to tell you that I have been here in London for almost 5 months and since I came I had wished to have a healthier routine. Thanks to the www.thebodyguide.co.uk I’m now discovering a lot of new different types of treatments and events related to beauty and body. I can also understand more about the cosmetic surgery techniques with all the funny names. For the next days I’m going to upload on the site more interesting competitions.

The Learning Curve
By Jessica | February 5, 2008
Before interning here, I had no clue about cosmetic surgery. Being only 21, I haven’t really thought about it…yet. It seems there are a lot of new treatments out there pertaining to lasers that are advancing quickly. In fact, there are so many, I sympathize with members of the public looking for information on these treatments. There are just so many, and many that are the same, only trademarked differently. Interning here immersed me in a whole new world. I hardly ever go to the Doctor. I have never had a professional massage before and I’m pretty low maintenance as far as fitness goes. A good game of tennis in the summer or an hour on the treadmill is perfect as far as I’m concerned. But there are so many different and exciting ways to get fit now too! Pole dancing and can-can classes are only two of many that suprised me. I think its great that people are finding new ways that suit their tastes to stay healthy.
Its hard to worry about your health in today’s fast-paced society. Everyone just has so much going on. I have been here (in London) for almost a month and have found it hard to get back into a regular exercise routine. There is just so much to do and see as a new residant — all the museums and parks and clubs and restaurants — it’s almost overwhelming! I might just have to look into treating myself to one of the complementary therapies I’m learning so much about interning at thebodyguide…
